Future green cities must develop and maintain an attractive biking paths network but sometimes it can be difficult because usually these lanes are placed side by side with ordinary car roads, that can make this alternative slower, unhealthier and more dangerous. On the other hand we have the contamination global problem. We must evolve trying to improve our relation with nature, investing in green technologiess and ecofriendly power sources. Urban transport must follow this ideal too.

To solve these problems, Bike & Sun Monorail project proposes an innovative design for future green transportation. This solution is composed by two main parts. The upper zone is designed to be a bike lane installed on the top of the rail structure. It would provide a two direction cycling road to move around the city in a fast and secure way. The lower part would be an autonomous monorail train powered by the photovoltaic asphalt panels installed in the biking paths surface. Designed to be fast, comfortable and ecofriendly.

This disruptive solution aims to improve the way we move through our cities, improving the user experience, respecting our environment and helping to solve daily urban problems.
